Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System in Canton Mercy Hospital is seeking a Patient Dining Associate to provide direct meal service to patients and visitors and support nutritional care as part of a healing environment.

You will work evenings (12:00PM-8:30PM or 1:00PM-9:30PM) with rotating weekends and holidays, helping with food preparation, tray assembly and delivery, and communicating with patients to ensure satisfaction and comfort.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience in a customer service environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dietary/food service setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, loading, heating, tray assembly and sanitation.
• Provide food service delivery of menus and trays to patients and visitors.
• Maintain inventory to ensure the work area is stocked with adequate food and supplies.

A caregiver in this position works evenings from 12:00PM - 8:30PM or 1:00PM - 9:30PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Assist with food preparation, loading, heating, tray assembly and sanitation.
• Provide food service delivery of menus and trays to patients and visitors.
• Maintain inventory to ensure the work area is stocked with adequate and acceptable food and supplies.
• Ensure quality in patient and visitor meal service by visiting patients after every meal delivery to ensure customer satisfa ction and responding to concerns.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High S chool D iploma or GED
• One year of experience in a customer service environment

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Food service experience
• Ohio Food Safety certification

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus also required.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
