Must be able to read and speak English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Possesses necessary skills to operate hospital systems that manage patient-care records.
Ability to solve problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2 years of customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient food service on assigned units including menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, stocking patients units where needed, and fulfills special requests in-between meal food delivery.
Takes patients menu selections prior to meal service while complying with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets.
Offers alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet according to allergies and preferences.
Interacts with Nursing to ensure patients’ diet prescriptions are accurate and needs are met.
After trays are passed, completes rounding to check on patients and address needs.
