Job summary

Aramark is hiring for a Patient Services Worker to support hospital and long-term care nutrition services. The role involves delivering patient trays, collecting nourishments, and communicating patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.

You will help ensure diet orders are followed and assist clinical staff in meeting patients' nutrition needs. Candidates should understand therapeutic diets and follow sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
• May obtain patient food preferences/dislikes.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains and adheres to all sanitation standards by following assigned cleaning schedules.
• Inventories and re-stocks pantries, refrigerator, and freezers on assigned unit(s).
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance from Supervisor or Dietitian if an error is observed.
• Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patients' basic nutrition care needs are met.
