Job Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager and/or Director of Nursing, the Patient Coordinator ensures the delivery of quality patient care by assuring adequate staffing in addition to appropriate skills and abilities to meet patient problems. This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring the appropriate utilization of resources. Assists the Manager in financial control of department; collaborates and maintains open communication with medical staff, administration, unit personnel, patients and patient families; assures regulations and standards are met and demonstrates support of the Jefferson Regional mission.
