Rhode Island Medical Imaging in Warwick, RI is seeking a Patient Coordinator to support the mammography department. The role trains on-site and transitions to hybrid after approval; duties include scheduling, data entry, explaining insurance policies, and coordinating with radiologists, physicians, and staff.
The position requires at least two years of medical secretary experience, a high school diploma, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
This position will transition to a hybrid role once the employee is fully trained and receives management approval. Training will be completed on-site at our corporate office in Warwick, RI.
Under the general supervision of the Manager and Lead Mammography Coordinator, along with the Site Manager and according to established policies and procedures, the Patient Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the work of the mammography department. Schedules and confirms appointments, gives directions, inputs data into patient accounts, and discusses insurance and payment policies with patients prior to the patient’s actual arrival. Interacts with the radiologist, referring physicians, staff, and patients as required.
