Rhode Island Medical Imaging in Johnston, RI, is seeking a Medical Secretary to greet patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and manage patient accounts. The role requires handling payments, scanning documents, and ensuring accurate records before examinations.
The secretary will interact with patients, referring physicians, and staff to maintain smooth patient flow and quality service. High school diploma required; a Medical Secretarial Sciences program is preferred.
This position is located at our Johnston, RI clinical site.
The Medical Secretary will be responsible for greeting and welcoming patients at our Johnston, RI facility. Additionally, the Medical Secretary will obtain required demographic and insurance information, establish patient accounts, disclose insurance and payment policies, collect payments, locate previous imaging, and generally ensure the accuracy and completion of necessary patient material prior to examinations. The ideal candidate will interact professionally and effectively with patients, referring physicians, and their staff and coworkers while always maintaining the best possible patient flow.
