AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Surgical Services Supervisor to lead Pre- and Post-Operative and Endoscopy areas, ensuring staffing, quality, and patient flow 24/7. The role involves coordinating supply chains with anesthesia and sterile processing, and enforcing current clinical and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in surgical services leadership, RN with Bachelors, and ASPAN familiarity.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication.
• Experience in PACU, Same Day Surgery or Endoscopy is required.
• Leadership experience in Surgical Services-pre/post or endoscopy is required.
• Focus on improving Patient Experience.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
• Familiarity with ASPAN standards is required.
• Ability to function in a high-stress environment is preferred.
• Ability to work irregular hours including call hours is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures staff competency and maintains current documentation for performance evaluations.
• Establishes staffing patterns based on volume and competency.
• Reviews payroll and labor distribution for accurate timekeeping.
• Manages daily operations in Pre-post surgical areas with 24-hour accountability.
• Oversees supply management with materials, anesthesia, and sterile processing.
• Develops and enforces policies to meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates and investigates significant issues and reports to the Director.
• Promotes positive relationships between physicians and staff.
• Participates in process improvement initiatives in Surgical Services.
• Performs HR functions including recruitment, interviewing, development, counseling, evaluation and discipline.
• Maintains high levels of employee engagement and learning opportunities.
• Ensures environmental safety and infection control in Perioperative Services.
