Responsibilities

• Provide proactive patient counseling and medication education via phone.
• Collaborate with prescribers and office staff to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues.
• Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy.
• Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a closed-door fulfillment setting, ensuring all aspects including drug, dose, quantity, and labeling are accurate prior to dispensing.
• Assist the pharmacy manager with receiving, processing, and transferring prescriptions, managing transfer processes end-to-end for optimal success.
