Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Owensboro, KY is hiring a Pharmacist to support a wide range of pharmacy services. You will fill prescriptions, provide drug counseling to customers and prescribers, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

You must hold a current Pharmacist license in the state, have graduated from a US School of Pharmacy (or equivalent), and passed NAPLEX. Willingness to travel between locations and work at multiple sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Possess a current Pharmacist license in the state where employment is sought.
• Graduate of a US School of Pharmacy or have passed a foreign equivalency exam.
• Successfully passed the NAPLEX exam.
• Ability to work at various locations.
• Ability to travel independently.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products.
• Communicate effectively with customers and store personnel.
• Possess knowledge of pharmaceutical products kept in the department to be competent making recommendations to patients and prescribers.
• Receive verbal RX orders and reduce to writing in adherence with state and federal laws.
