Tennessee Cancer Specialists in Knoxville is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians during patient visits and ensure smooth clinic flow. You will gather patient information, document medical histories, and prepare exam rooms to help our providers deliver quality care.

Requirements include a medical assisting certification or equivalent, a high school diploma, and current BLS certification. Entry level is 0–3 years; senior roles may require 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assisting certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 0–3 years experience for entry level; 5+ years for senior level.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms with welcoming demeanor.
• Record patient information and medical history for provider review.
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families and staff.
• Obtain patient records and test results while following HIPAA guidelines.
• Process patient forms and assist with scheduling as needed.
• Support providers with additional tasks to ensure patient care runs smoothly.
