Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA seeks an LPN to provide nursing services in a physician office. You will obtain and document vitals, perform EKGs, assist physicians, and help manage patient flow throughout the office.

You will also support front desk functions, coordinate tests and procedures, and maintain accurate records with a focus on patient safety and confidentiality. Virginia LPN licensure and BLS CPR are required; physician-office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Virginia LPN license.
• BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.
• Experience in a physician office is preferred.
• Familiarity with infection control and patient confidentiality policies.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents patient vitals (height, weight, BP).
• Rooms patients and facilitates patient flow in the office.
• Assists physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Documents patient history and vitals in the medical record.
• Ensures materials and supplies are available.
• Educates patients and families as appropriate.
• Schedules tests, procedures, and surgeries; obtains authorizations as needed.
• Coordinates front office functions and supports coverage.
• Maintains high standards of customer service and chart accuracy.
