The position emphasizes accurate imaging records management, coordination with physicians, and proficiency with the department's computer systems to support timely radiology reporting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with good perception of order and minute details.
• Strong communication, detail oriented, critical thinking, problem solving and customer service skills are essential; quick learner, works at fast pace, expeditious, friendly and courteous to staff and physicians.
• Must be efficient in the use of all office equipment, computer and keyboard operations and related material essential to good patient care and reports any problems when necessary.
• Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care activities within Imaging Department and dispatches clinical staff and transport staff.
• Ensures accurate paperwork and privacy regulations (PHI) in exam processes.
• Knowledge of PACS and digital imaging systems; supports physicians and staff in imaging workflows.
• Uses I Care principles to ensure proper patient identification and exam accuracy.
• Maintains electronic records and reports; scans and transmits images or CDs for physician comparison.
