Job summary

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• BSN or higher is strongly preferred within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum 1 year RN acute care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and cultural awareness.
• Effective communication with patients, families and care partners.
• Ability to assess patients and plan care.
• Knowledge of medication administration and discharge planning.
• Documentation of health information in written or electronic form.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients and families to identify learning needs and priorities.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and next steps.
• Use information technology to document, communicate, and monitor care outcomes.
• Work with inter-professional teams to provide safe, coordinated care.
