Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and determines current physical and functional status.
• Plans and conducts therapy programs including exercises, massage, and modalities.
• Directs and aids patients in exercises, gait training, and use of equipment.
• Uses physical therapy devices such as ultrasound and stimulating machines.
• Provides patient education on posture, home exercise programs, and use of assistive devices.
• Observes and reports patient progress; supervises assistants and technicians.
