Job summary

Valor Healthcare, Inc. in Williston, ND is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for our Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC).

You will support clinical operations, assist with exams, collect specimens, and coordinate with the PACT team under physician supervision. The ideal candidate has a diploma or certificate, BLS certification and ACLS as required, strong English skills, and experience in primary care or ambulatory settings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate of an accredited program approved by the state.
• Two years’ MA experience in primary/ambulatory care; VA experience preferred.
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted license as required by VA contracts.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS as required by contract.
• English language proficiency (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, exams, and tests.
• Schedule clinic appointments and manage the Electronic Wait List.
• Answer phones and relay messages in a timely manner.
• Prepare patient check-in lists with medication and exposure history.
• Collect lab specimens (urine, blood, sputum) for testing.
• Operate ECG and other diagnostic equipment per VA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with OIG, JC, EOC, and lab standards.
• Support patient enrollment and clinic outreach initiatives.
