Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide patient support and maintain a smooth clinical flow. You will welcome patients, collect vital signs, and assist with procedures and specimen handling to ensure a high-quality visit.

Strong communication and basic lab skills are essential for delivering a positive patient experience. Experience with primary care settings and BLS certification enhances candidacy; familiarization with EHR systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification preferred and obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Nationally certified Medical Assistant with strong patient communication skills.
• Experience with point-of-care tests and basic laboratory procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and prepares them for visits, documents vitals and histories.
• Performs point-of-care lab tests, EKGs, phlebotomy and specimen handling.
• Assists with medication administration under supervision and provides patient instruction.
• Maintains treatment rooms and equipment; supports clinical staff as needed.
• Delivers excellent patient experience to build trust and satisfaction.
