Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with clinical and clerical duties, patient flow and basic procedures at satellite offices in New Jersey. You will prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and document in the EHR.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, and English proficiency. Travel to satellite offices is required as needed; pay ranges $22.02–$27.07 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required.
• BLS certification or within 30 days of hire required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and escort patient into room.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and prepare for patient visits.
• Document vital signs and allergies in EHR; update medication list as needed.
• Enter orders and schedule appointments in the PMS and EHR; provide referrals as appropriate.
• Provide scribing services and support care transitions to UCC/Hospital.
