Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs with routine clinical tasks and clerical duties. The role emphasizes efficient patient flow, accurate vital signs, and documentation in the EHR.

You'll prepare exam rooms, schedule appointments, handle direct communication with patients, and assist with supplies and referrals, while adhering to safety protocols and practice guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS certification or within 30 days of hire required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and assist with patient care.
• Take vital signs and document in the EHR.
• Assist in patient visits and procedures.
• Answer calls and manage messages; schedule appointments.
• Stock examination rooms with supplies and maintain inventory.
• Assist with referrals and orders in the PMS/EHR.
• Adhere to universal safety precautions and SOPs.
