Job summary

Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA is hiring an Hospital Housekeeper to perform daily and periodic cleaning tasks to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. The role emphasizes infection-control compliance and respect for patient dignity in all cleaning activities.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of Environmental Services or housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• At least 1 year Environmental Services or Housekeeping experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Sanitize floors, walls, windows, doors, fixtures, furnishings, stairways, elevators, entrances/exits, surfaces, bathrooms and patient rooms.
• Perform cleaning tasks in maintenance and restorative modes as needed.
• Follow Infection Control policies and proper lifting techniques.
• Adapt to area changes as determined by Environmental Services Leadership.

Education
