Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a patient care teammate to support RN staff in a fast-paced unit. You’ll assist with ADLs, take vitals, document care, and participate in care planning and patient safety initiatives.

This role requires high school completion and nursing aide or medical assistant training with preferred CNA certification. Evening hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required, with formal nursing aide training.
• Certification or active enrollment in Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, or nursing studies preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic unit secretary tasks helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with ADLs under RN direction and patient needs.
• Records vitals, input/output, and ADLs per unit standards.
• Performs point-of-care testing as trained and credentialed.
• Answers call bells promptly and relays information to RN.
• Promotes fall prevention and assists patients with mobility.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety policies.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely.
