Lowell General Hospital is seeking anAdministrative Assistant on the unit to support patient flow and information management. The role emphasizes clerical duties, chart preparation, and a liaison between patient care, admissions, and front desk operations.

Under supervision, you will handle routine data entry, file management, and communications, contributing to service excellence in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate flow of patient activity and information on unit areas per hospital policies.
• Greet and direct patients, visitors, physicians, and staff with service-excellence standards.
• Maintain patient charts and prepare records for discharge and medical records.
• Update bed boards, bedside charts and computer data (diet, allergies, height/weight).
• Assist with filing, labeling, and documentation in medical records.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments as a liaison.
