Job summary

The Psychiatric Technician position at Cynet Health supports the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit in New York. Under the supervision of registered nurses, you will provide direct patient care, assist with daily needs, and participate in therapeutic activities to promote safety and recovery.

You will perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing, with trauma-informed care guiding interactions with children and adolescents in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Must have: High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years in nursing or behavioral health in a high-volume setting.
• Competency in vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG, and blood glucose monitoring.
• Trauma-informed approach for engagement with children and adolescents.
• Current BLS certification; CPI or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and clinical support under RN supervision.
• Support safety on the unit and engage patients in therapeutic activities.
• Assist children and adolescents with daily needs during hospitalization.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing as required.
