The technician will use de-escalation techniques, assist with admissions and document patient vital signs, among other responsibilities. Applicants must possess an LVN/LPT license, BLS certification, and preferably have over a year of psychiatric experience. Weekend shifts and a flexible schedule are required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize de-escalation and least-restrictive interventions.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and intake interviews.
• Monitor and document patient behavior, symptoms, vital signs, and safety concerns.
• Support therapeutic and recreational activities.
• Communicate patient status changes to nursing staff.
• Administer medications per physician orders and obtain consent forms.
• Conduct routine rounding and maintain a safe environment.
• Reinforce patient and family education plans.

Department: Psychiatric ICU 1 (AHSH CBH)
Schedule: 5×8s, no set days, every other weekend
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Requirements: LVN or LPT license, BLS, CPI (preferred; can be obtained onsite), 1 year psych experience

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
