Responsibilities

• Supports activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport.
• Performs vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and catheter care as directed; may perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
• Reinforces education of patient and family regarding care needs and safety issues.
• Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives and goals.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Assists in orientation of new hires.
