Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a patient care associate to provide direct care to patients and assist with unit coordination on the inpatient floor. The role supports RN staff, adheres to hospital policies, and maintains patient comfort and safety during routine care in stable conditions.

Responsibilities include vital signs, ADLs, documentation, and participation in rounds and continuity workflows. Weekend shifts and on-call may be required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document direct patient care such as ADLs, vitals, mobility, and specimen collection.
• Record measurements accurately and report changes to nursing staff.
• Participate in rounding, safety, cleanliness, and infection prevention activities.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers on the inpatient unit.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Care Team Leader.
