This temporary trainee program enhances clinical experience and prepares you for professional nursing support roles.

Under a preceptor, you will perform basic patient care, assist with mobility, document care, and participate in hand-offs.

Qualifications

• BLS certification preferred; obtain prior to direct patient care.
• Recent experience in a healthcare environment.
• Follow policies, procedures and guidelines; maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Under preceptor, supports nursing process.
• Provide basic patient care: comfort, vital signs, hygiene, mobility.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes/concerns.
• Provide high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Participate in hand-off/report of pertinent information.
• Perform delegated tasks with oversight to gain competency.
