Jefferson Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision, collaborating with licensed clinicians across shifts. The role supports telehealth encounters and utilizes Epic and Vidyo technologies to facilitate virtual care.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, basic medical knowledge, and be able to work in a dynamic hospital setting with emphasis on safety, teamwork and compassionate patient care.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care within interprofessional teams.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of personal care and hygiene for quality of life.
• Understanding of healthcare safety risks and mitigation.
• Ability to communicate with patients, families and care partners respectfully and effectively.
• Understanding of diverse backgrounds and inclusive communication.
• Proficiency in telehealth concepts and relevant software (Epic, Vidyo).
• BLS certification to be maintained on hire.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate with and support the interprofessional team, patient, family and care partners.
• Perform validated direct/indirect patient care under supervision.
• Promote and maintain a safe patient care environment.
• Assist in maintaining supplies/equipment for unit operations.
• Conduct patient rounds and respond to call lights promptly.
• May serve as virtual safety associate as needed.
• Support telehealth clinical exams with remote providers and devices.
