Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care in an interprofessional team.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of patient care, hygiene, and diversity considerations.
• Understanding of patient safety and risk reduction in healthcare.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs validated direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists with supplies and equipment to support unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs, responds to call lights promptly.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed; may support telehealth exams with remote providers.
