Job summary

AdventHealth in La Grange, Illinois is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Technician to join our inpatient team. The role covers night shifts, 6:45pm–7:15am, with rotating weekends and holidays, providing patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.

You will perform treatments per policy, maintain safety, document procedures, and contribute to a clean, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) required or equivalent certifications listed (CPCT/A, NCPCT, PCT-C, EMT).

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, uses protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Performs duties during rotating weekends and holidays as required.

Job Description:

Work Experience:
