Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician to provide basic and intermediate nursing care under supervision. You will work across General Nursing Units and Special Care Areas, assisting with patient care, rounds, and room turnover. Sign-on bonus may apply.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, collecting specimens, applying TED hose, monitoring glucose, and ensuring a safe environment while supporting timely admissions and transfers.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Possession of a current state or national nurse's aide certification or a certification as a phlebotomist, medical technician, patient care technician, medical assistant, EKG tech or in another related field.
• BLS - Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center.

Responsibilities

• Assists other nursing personnel in patient care.
• Reports identified unusual patient conditions/reactions to licensed staff.
• Makes rounds with oncoming shift.
• Enter Charges, as needed.
• Performs venipuncture for lab specimen testing.
• Discontinues peripheral IV catheters.
• Facilitates patient movement through the facility, proactively supporting timely admissions, discharges and transfers.
