Job summary

BayCare Health System seeks experienced Patient Care Technicians to join the Staffing Resource Office Float Team, covering Region 3 facilities including Bartow Regional Medical Center, South Florida Baptist Hospital and Winter Haven Hospital.

PRN role requires 4 shifts in a 6-week cycle with 2 weekend shifts, plus holiday commitments. Provides direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision and requires BLS certification and relevant acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Certification includes Basic Life Support from recognized providers.
• Minimum 6 months acute care experience or 1 year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or Nursing Fundamentals from a Nursing Program.
• EMT certification or Paramedic license for ER only.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Floats to multiple hospitals/units within Region 3 as needed.
• Participates in holiday staffing commitments and weekend shifts as required.

BayCare is seeking experienced patient care technicians to join our staffing resource office float team. Must be comfortable floating to multiple hospitals/units in region 3 which includes the following facilities: Bartow Regional Medical Center, South Florida Baptist Hospital and Winter Haven Hospital.

PRN requires 4 shifts in 6-week schedule to include 2 weekend shifts. Holiday commitment 1 summer and 1 winter holiday and 1 hard to fill staffing shift.

Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.

Required

Minimum Qualifications:

Certification includes Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.

Minimum requirements include 6 months acute care experience or 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or completion of Nursing Fundamentals from a Nursing Program; or EMT certification / Paramedic license for ER only.
