Job summary

BayCare is seeking a patient care technician/certified nursing assistant to provide direct patient care in our Dunedin clinic setting. You will work under the supervision of an RN or LPN to support patient comfort and safety.

Required are a High School diploma and current BLS certification, with potential for growth into hospital roles. The position is on-site in the Dunedin area and offers team-based collaboration in a busy clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.

Minimum requirements include one of the following:

• 6 months of PCT/CNA acute care experience, or
• 1 year of PCT/CNA experience in a skilled nursing or rehab facility, or
• Successful completion of a BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT Internship, or
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN) or Nursing Foundation (LPN) Programs, or
• EMT certification/Paramedic license for ER only, or
• Completion of a PCT or Nursing Assistant program which includes at least 40 hours of an external clinical component
• Preferred 1 year hospital related field experience
