Job summary

BayCare's Mease Dunedin facility in Dunedin, FL, seeks a Full-Time Nursing role within Behavioral Health. Shift hours 6:45 am–7:15 pm, every other weekend. Responsibilities include patient care under RN supervision, medication administration, and therapies for assigned patients in a behavioral health setting.

Required: HS/GED, Practical Nurse program, or LPN with Florida licensure; BLS; 6 months acute care experience in related roles. ACLS preferred; background check required.

Qualifications

• HS Graduate or Equivalent GED.
• Technical Program Completion or Degree in Practical Nurse Program.
• OR applicants who have completed the Practical Nurse Equivalency (PNEQ).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• LPN license for Florida.

• Works in collaboration and under direction of a Registered Nurse and is responsible for delivery of patient care as directed for assigned patients including medication administration, therapy and interventions.

Shift Hours: 6:45 am- 7:15 pm

Education:

• HS Graduate or Equivalent GED.
• Technical Program Completion or Degree in Practical Nurse Program.
• OR applicants who have successfully completed the Practical Nurse Equivalency (PNEQ).

Required Experience:

• 6 months Acute Care as a Patient Care Technician, Practical Nurse Apprentice, or Practical Nurse Intern (or a combination of time within these 3 roles).
• Or 6 months Acute Care as an LPN.

Required Certifications and Licensure:

• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - State of Florida.
• Preferred - ACLS (Cardiovascular) - Unit Specific.
• Successful completion of the 30-hour Florida Board of Nursing IV course during the first two weeks of the LPN internship; however, this is not required for SIPP.
