The role you’ll contribute:

Assist patients with activities of daily living, perform patient care tasks, and maintain a safe and clean environment. Complete tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida State Board of Nursing.

• Perform patient care tasks safely and competently, adhering to the standard of care.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement PCT care promptly based on the individual needs of each patient.
• Coordinate PCT care with RN and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Recognize changes in patient status and report immediately to RN/LPN.
• Maintain complete and timely documentation reflecting the care provided.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience needed to succeed:

• HS Diploma or equivalent. Entry Level - Maintain current Florida certification and PCT educational requirements as per organizational checklists.
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or proof of competency required upon hire.
• New hires may begin employment if the facility can facilitate the successful completion of the AHA BLS program prior to patient contact, using web-based training with voice-assisted manikin skills check-off (e.g., Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Program or Heartcode) or instructor-led training.
• Florida Department of Health (FL DOH) License required.
