The community you’ll be caring for:

AdventHealth Ocala

Located in the Horse Capital of the World – home to the World Equestrian Center, outdoor activities like golf, kayaking, horseback riding, nature trails, a vibrant downtown with award-winning establishments, family-friendly parks and recreation, and spectacular springs throughout the county.

The role you’ll contribute:

Assist patients with activities of daily living, perform patient care tasks, and maintain a safe and clean environment. Complete tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida State Board of Nursing.

• Perform patient care tasks safely and competently, adhering to standards of care.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement PCT care promptly based on individual patient needs.
• Coordinate care with RN and interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Recognize changes in patient status and report immediately to RN/LPN.
• Maintain complete and timely documentation of care provided.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• HS Diploma or equivalent. Entry level – maintains current Florida certification and PCT educational requirements.
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or proof of competency required upon hire.
• New hires may begin employment if the facility can facilitate completion of the AHA BLS program before patient contact, via web-based training or instructor-led training.
• Florida Department of Health (FL DOH) License required.
