Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

As part of the nephrology healthcare team, you will:

1. Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines.
2. Record vital signs and weights pre- and post-treatment.
3. Assess vascular access and perform cannulation.
4. Monitor patient response and intervene as directed.
5. Discontinue dialysis according to procedures.
6. Report patient condition changes to supervisors.
7. Accurately document treatment data.
8. Handle lab samples appropriately.
9. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and environment.
10. Assist in patient education.
11. Organize supplies to prevent waste.

Education and Licenses:

High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

Experience and Skills:

Dependable, compassionate, supportive, collaborative. Previous patient care experience is preferred but not required. Successful completion of dialysis training and CPR certification is required.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

This role involves physical activity such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and assisting with patient mobility. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
