PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Venice in Nokomis, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support staffing in acute and rehab care settings. You will perform patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse or LVN/LPN and follow hospital policies to ensure quality care.

Prerequisites include a High School diploma or equivalent and current BLS certification; 2–3 years of related hospital or rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health.

Qualifications

• Education and Training:High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
