Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Georgetown is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The role does not involve medication administration and supports the care team in accordance with hospital policies.

Preferred education includes a High School diploma or equivalent and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. BLS certification required.
• Experience: Minimum of two to three years in acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities and accommodative services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or LVN (Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse).
• Care for patients in accordance with PAM Health policies; maintain safety and comfort.
• Do not administer medications or take independent responsibility for patient care.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health.

Qualifications

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
