Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of El Paso is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist with day-to-day patient care under RN/LVN supervision, in a hospital setting. The role does not include medication administration, but emphasizes compassionate support and adherence to PAM Health policies.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, current BLS, and 2–3 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or skilled nursing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.
• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse or LVN/LPN; does not administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or LVN/LPN.
• Do not administer medications or therapies.
• Follow PAM Health policies, procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health.

Qualifications

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
