Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth - 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Department: Med Surg

Work hours: 24 hours, Part-Time, Days (7am - 7pm)

Responsibilities:
  1. Provides and revises patient activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
  2. Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
  3. Takes action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
  4. Enters orders into computer or manual system if applicable.
  5. Documents accurately and appropriately.
  6. Collaborates with nurses to adapt care to reflect patient population, incorporating cultural and religious needs.
  7. Keeps patient environment clean and safe.
  8. Anticipates patient, family, and visitor needs, taking appropriate action.
  9. Works in partnership with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, following the Professional Practice Model.
  10. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to schedule and workload changes.
  11. Supports new team members and participates in orientation.
  12. Uses effective communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
  13. Organizes workload effectively, prioritizing patient care in collaboration with nursing staff.
  14. Maintains and enhances patient care skills, seeking assistance when performing unfamiliar tasks.
  15. Acts as a patient advocate.
  16. Adheres to personnel policies and department communication standards.
  17. Recognizes and reports ethical and legal concerns promptly.
  18. Participates in process improvement activities and adheres to safety goals.
