Work hours: 24 hours, Part-Time, Days (7am - 7pm)

- Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is an 815-bed, Magnet-designated regional referral center serving Tarrant County and surrounding communities since 1930. It offers services including cardiovascular care, high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, orthopedics and sports medicine, neonatal intensive care, and trauma/emergency medicine. The hospital features a 75,000 sq ft Emergency Services Center, over 4,000 employees, 200 volunteers, and nearly 1,000 physicians. Recognized nationally for its oncology program and awarded 'Best Place to Have a Baby' in Tarrant County, it is also certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Primary Heart Attack Center by the Joint Commission.

Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (Required)
- Completion of a PCT Training Program (e.g., TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited community college, or THR approved program). Not required to maintain certification after hire, if applicable. (Required upon hire)
- EMT certification or military experience with medical training equivalent (Required upon hire)
- Other nursing students who have completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree programs (Required upon hire)
- One year of applicable experience in lieu of certification (Required upon hire)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, maintained quarterly (Required)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training, maintained annually (Required)
Responsibilities
- Assist patients according to their care plan
- Collect patient data, report significant findings to nurses
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures
- Support patient activities of daily living, respecting patient and family preferences
- Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently
- Take actions to reduce patient risks
- Enter orders into systems as applicable
- Accurately document care activities
- Collaborate with nurses to adapt care to patient needs, including cultural and religious considerations
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
- Anticipate and meet patient, family, and visitor needs
- Work in partnership with the healthcare team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Assist in orientation of new team members
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
- Prioritize workload and collaborate with nursing staff
- Maintain and enhance patient care skills
- Seek assistance when performing unfamiliar tasks
- Serve as a patient advocate
- Follow personnel policies and department communication expectations
- Report ethical or legal concerns promptly
- Participate in process improvement activities
- Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals
