Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for Med Surg. The role supports nurses, collects patient data, and helps with admissions, transfers, and discharges while providing compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

The PCT role requires a high school diploma, CLIA-compliant foreign education handling, and various training programs. Full-time night shifts and weekend/holiday requirements apply, with strong teamwork being essential.

• CLIA regulations compliance for foreign education equivalency required.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT or THR approved program; not required to maintain certification after hire.
• EMT - EMT-B or equivalent military medical training; required on hire.

• Perform technical procedures safely and document care accurately.

• Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
• Participate in process improvement and safety initiatives.

Work hours: Full-Time Nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) for 36 hours/week. Weekend and holiday requirements

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited community college program or a THR approved program. Not required to maintain certification when applicable after hire. Upon Hire Required Or
• EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Military experience with medical training equivalent (Equivalent to EMT-B) Upon Hire Required Or
• Other Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program Upon Hire Required Or
• Other 1 year of applicable experience in lieu of an active and approved certification. Upon Hire Required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required.
• Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
• Nursing Students who do not complete course of study in nursing but having completed their Fundamentals Training and EMTs who do not formally retain their EMT status may continue in role if they have consistently demonstrated skills in their PCT position.
