Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) across multiple inpatient departments at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA, for night shifts. Join our supportive nursing teams, gain hands-on clinical experience, and help monitor vital signs, assist with daily activities, and collaborate with nurses to deliver safe patient care during nights.

Positions vary by department and schedule, with every-other weekend requirements and shifts typically 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• At least one year of patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care, assisting with daily activities, mobility, hygiene, and comfort.
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and changes in patient condition.
• Assist with patient safety, treatments, procedures, and specimen collection.
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The Patient Care Technician Will:

• Provide compassionate patient care, assisting with daily activities, mobility, hygiene, and comfort.

No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
