Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital - Tucson is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. You will support patient care under RN supervision, transport patients, assist with dressing, bathing, feeding, and hourly rounds across 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Hospital experience as a PCT/NA or related field preferred.
  • Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

  • Transports patients to and from treatment areas; assists moving patients in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Performs dressing, showering, bathing, and oral feeding for patients.
  • Responds to patient needs promptly; conducts hourly rounds and patient turning/repositioning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervising RN.

Position: Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Schedule: Full-time, 12 Hour Shifts (7:00 - 7:00)

Compensation: $19.32 - $24.50 per hour, based on years of experience

  • Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
  • Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
  • Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
  • Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
