Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT provides routine patient care, transports patients between treatment areas, assists with dressing, bathing and feeding, and documents care provided.

We offer full-time day shifts (12-hour), a $3,000 sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits, PTO, and opportunities for growth within Select Medical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of PCT/nursing assistant experience or related field experience.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs routine patient care and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas; assists in moving patients on stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient including dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Responds to patient calls and performs services in a timely manner to support patient well-being.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $20.11 - $25.50

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
