Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Danville, Kentucky is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide compassionate daily patient support in a high-acuity care setting. You will perform bathing, feeding assistance, hygiene tasks, and mobility support as part of a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of related work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as CNA or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist transporters with moving patients on stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other instruments/equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; monitor and restock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
