PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Round Rock is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patient care activities under the supervision of nurses. The role emphasizes completing tasks within the scope of policy and guidelines, without administering medications.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent and a current BLS certification, with 2–3 years of acute or rehab hospital experience preferred to ensure smooth daily operations and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care activities and accommodative services under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
• Follow PAM Health policies, procedures and guidelines while delivering care.
• Do not administer medications or therapy or assume independent responsibility for patient care.

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health.

Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Current BLS certification is required.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
