Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or LVN/LPN. The role includes supporting patients with basic needs and comfort, assisting with routine tasks, and maintaining patient safety.

This position emphasizes adherence to hospital policies, does not involve medication administration or therapy, and offers opportunities for growth as well as flexible scheduling and supportive leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; BLS certification required.
• 2–3 years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health.

Qualifications

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
