Job summary

St. Luke's Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Patient Care Technician under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCT provides non-licensed patient care in accordance with Nursing Standards and Hospital Policies, promoting teamwork and compassionate service to patients and families.

Education requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent. To qualify, you must hold a current CNA license, be a nursing student who has completed fundamentals within 90 days, a PCT/NA/EMT/Surgical Tech

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA licensure or nursing student with completion of nursing fundamentals course within 90 days of employment.
• Previous documented work experience as a PCT, Nurse Assistant, EMT or Surgical Tech within the last 3 years.
• Successful completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, perform non-licensed patient care in accordance with Nursing Standards and Hospital Policies.
• Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.
• Perform duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke's mission and values.

Position Summary

Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, the Patient Care Technician is responsible for performing non-licensed patient care in accordance with established Nursing Standards and Hospital Policies. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke's mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

To qualify for this position, you must meet at least one of the requirements below:

• Current state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.)
• Current Nursing student with completion of nursing fundamentals course within 90 days of employment
• Previous documented work experience as a PCT, Nurse Assistant, EMT or Surgical Tech within the last 3 years
• Successful completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program within the last 3 years
