Job Opening: Dialysis Technician at Panorama City Clinic

This is a full-time position at our Panorama City Clinic. The role involves working as part of the dialysis healthcare team to provide safe and effective dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Patient Education: Assist healthcare team in providing detailed education on adequacy measures, disease process, and access.
2. Treatment: Welcome patients, evaluate vascular access, perform cannulation, administer heparin, monitor vital signs, initiate and discontinue dialysis, evaluate patient response, and document all procedures accurately.
3. Machine and Treatment Monitoring: Program dialysis machines, ensure safety alarms are active, monitor patient responses, and manage treatment parameters.
4. Documentation and Record Keeping: Record all treatment data accurately, prepare patient charts, and ensure completeness of documentation.
5. Infection Control: Support infection control practices, participate in audits, and educate patients and families on infection prevention.
6. Transitional Care: Manage early dialysis care for new patients, coordinate with staff, and assist with patient education on home dialysis options.
7. Physical and Environmental Requirements: The role involves physical tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and working in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to infectious materials.
